You'll talk to Jo, who runs the bar, to plan the night. The bar list is the usual one: cocktails, Cornish ales, spirits and wine.

The spaces

The Lounge (left side)

Plush sofas, low lighting, a marble-topped bar and a fireplace for winter evenings. Best for cocktail receptions, small birthdays and hen do welcome drinks. Capacity around 30 seated, 50 standing.

The Bar Room (right side)

Traditional pub seating and a long bar. There's a dartboard, but no pool table or jukebox. Better for noisy parties, stag dos, sports gatherings and live music nights. Capacity 60 seated or 100 standing.

The Courtyard

A sun-trap, heated for the shoulder seasons and fairy-lit in the evening. Capacity 30 standing.

Whole-venue hire

By arrangement: capacity 250 guests, inside and outside, including covered outdoor space beyond the courtyard. Suits wedding after-parties, 50th and 60th birthdays and company Christmas parties.

• Cocktail masterclass — 90 minutes, and you make three signature cocktails with our bar team. Works for hen dos and work groups.
• Welcome drink on arrival — espresso martinis, Aperol Spritzes, or a cocktail in your party colours.
• Custom playlist — tell us the mood and we'll build one, or bring your own.
• Decorations — drop off balloons, flowers or signs beforehand and we'll set up.

Birthdays

From a quiet table for ten to the whole venue, for 30ths, 40ths, 50ths and 60ths. We handle the bar; you handle the cake.

Hen dos

Book the cocktail masterclass and a reserved area in the Lounge. The beach, restaurants and places to stay are all within walking distance.

Stag dos

The Bar Room suits stag groups. Arrange a welcome round and a tab beforehand and the group can settle in without queuing.

Work events

Christmas parties, summer socials, leaving dos and away-days. We're flexible on minimum spend for off-peak weekday bookings.

Funerals & wakes

The Lounge is a quiet space for memorial gatherings. Please ring us to talk it through.

Anniversaries & engagements

Drinks in the courtyard at sunset, or a table in the Lounge. A small do, with little to organise.

Pricing & how to book

Most weekday and Sunday bookings have no hire fee, just a minimum bar spend that depends on the group size and the area you reserve. Friday and Saturday evenings and whole-venue hire are quoted case by case, depending on date, length and add-ons.

Frequently asked questions

What's the capacity?

Whole-venue exclusive hire holds up to 250 guests, inside and outside, including covered outdoor space beyond the courtyard. The Bar Room takes 60 seated or 100 standing, and the Lounge around 30 seated or 50 standing.

Can we bring our own food?

We don't serve food. Bring your own or bring in a caterer, and the full bar runs alongside. Tell us your plans when you book.

Is the venue accessible?

Ground floor access throughout, with accessible toilets. Please call ahead to discuss specific access needs.

How far in advance should I book?

At peak, 8 to 10 weeks' notice: Fridays and Saturdays in summer, and the run-up to Christmas. Off-peak midweek bookings can usually be held with two weeks' notice.
